29th Annual FOTOfusion, West Palm Beach

When: January 30 – February 3, 2024

Now celebrating its 29th anniversary, FOTOfusion is a popular cultural festival where creativity and technology fuse. The festival attracts thousands of professional and hobbyist photographers to West Palm Beach for a series of workshops, lectures, panel discussions, multimedia presentations, portfolio reviews, hands-on computer classes, demonstrations, and photo shoots taught by world renowned photographers, digital imaging artists and picture editors – all of whom donate their time and expertise to educate, mentor and encourage creativity among participants of all levels and ages.

The 29th annual FOTOfusion will celebrate distinguished photojournalist David Burnett, the recipient of the prestigious FOTOmentor Award 2024.

Celebrating Black History: Unity and Community, West Palm Beach

When: February 8, 2024, 5:30 – 7:30 PM 

This season the Historical Society of Palm Beach County invites the community to unite for a special event to pay homage to homegrown African American stars in music, art, and dance. 

A multimedia montage will feature local musicians from the first era of the Sunset Lounge, which is soon to rise again.  

This celebration will include a multi-panel exhibit on these accomplished Palm Beach County residents in the historic courtroom during February.

Caron Bowman of Street Art Revolution, the source of many outdoor murals in downtown West Palm Beach, will offer a presentation about recognizing the contributions of our African American citizens. The Soul Movement Dance Ensemble, Soul Stage creative dance troupe will add to the festivities.

The Delray Beach Open will be celebrating its 32ndevent in 2024. The Delray Beach stop on the global ATP Tour annually plays in front of over 60,000 fans in addition to reaching television audiences in over 100 countries with over 50 hours of live TV coverage. The 10-day combined event will begin with an ATP Champions Tour Legends Team event opening weekend Feb. 09-11featuring players that have been ranked World No. 1, a Grand Slam singles finalist, or a singles player in a victorious Davis Cup team plus Wildcards.

A Taste of Asia: A Culinary and Cultural Experience, Delray Beach

When: February 17, 2024, 6:30 pm – 11:00 pm

TheMorikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach will host an evening under the stars as it presents “A Taste of Asia: A Culinary and Cultural Experience” on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 6:30–11:00 p.m. Relish the vibrant flavors and rich traditions of Asian culinary culture in a Japanese gardens setting during this special inaugural event. Guests will be given a culinary “passport” they can use to savor Asian-inspired cuisine from South Florida’s celebrated restaurants, while enjoying fine wine, sake, and whiskey. Entertainment will include a powerful Taiko drumming performance by Fushu Daiko and DJ Mike Locke will be spinning J-Pop and dance hits throughout the evening. The event will also showcase a calligraphy demonstration, sake and whisky tastings, and a live auction featuring a ride on the Goodyear Blimp, exquisite jewelry, art pieces, and luxury hotel stays.

BlackLuxe Picnic Festival, Boca Raton

When: February 24, 2024

Join a music and food festival in a luxury outdoor setting, celebrating the excellence of the black culture and highlighting black brands and vendors. Participants must dress in picnic/derby attire, while allowing them to bring picnic baskets with food and picnic tables. The event includes DJs, live bands, musical artists, colorful and dynamic photo installations for great picture taking, and interactive games. The BlackLuxe Picnic Festival 2024 will take place at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton.

The BlackLuxe Picnic Festival Weekend donates part of its proceeds to various nonprofits that aide in the development of the youth and organizations that seeks to advance the education of African Americans. Part proceeds from the event will benefit the Bold Foundation, a 501 c3 organization aimed at developing our youth through education and leadership training and the Juneteenth Foundation of Palm Beach County.

The Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Gardens

The Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches (formerly known as Honda Classic) has been bringing top PGA TOUR talent to The Palm Beaches since 2003, providing a week of entertainment and one of the finest fan experiences around.
