The Faces of Prevention, Possibilities and Purpose

At its 40-year milestone, CEO Dr. Rachel Pappert Docekal and Chief Philanthropy Office Turner Benoit are leading the reunification of the Hanley Foundation as it reacquires the Hanley Center and moves into its next era as the preeminent substance-use prevention and recovery nonprofit in the state of Florida.
From offering education programs to more than 70,000 students annually in 32 counties across the state to assisting more than 500 people get the treatment they need every year by removing financial barriers through the Lifesaver Scholarship program, the Foundation’s evidence-based programs provide a full continuum of care and the support needed to live a life of possibility and purpose.
Through therapy, support groups, and an innovative job training program, the Foundation is revolutionizing the treatment industry and breaking the cycle of addiction. Employment opportunities in the campus bookstore and coffee shop, as well as internships and externships, will teach valuable skills such as time management, teamwork, and effective communication. Opportunities for gainful employment reduce financial stressors, boost self-worth, and benefit businesses across the state in filling their workforce needs.
